Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) ensures the ethical and humane treatment of animals used in research, teaching, and testing within MMSU. It evaluates protocols, monitors practices, and ensures regulatory compliance.
All research involving animals—such as theses, faculty projects, or collaborations—requires IACUC approval before starting. The committee promotes animal welfare, ethical practices, and educates the community on responsible animal care.
